2018 SUMMER RUNNING PROGRAM

Intro Week: All athletes must have their Authorization to Treat, Student Driver and Parent Driver Forms turned in, in order to practice; Tue – Fri Wildflower Park, 3 – 4:45 PM

Dead Period 6/17 – 7/8: CIF mandates a 3-week dead period of no organized practices by coaches; runners are encouraged to train on their own or with others

Summer Program July 9th – August 21st: Summer Program helps athletes prepare for the season by building a solid base of training, and develop the team bond

SUMMER KICKOFF & OPENING TIME TRIAL: Monday July 9th @ Wildflower Park, 4:45 – 8 PM – Time Trial and Potluck Dinner afterward.


TEAM PRACTICE SCHEDULE: 

Monday to Thursday: 3 – 4:45 PM – Friday 7:30 – 9 AM

Saturday: On Your Own, with exception of Alumni Run & Beach Run

Sunday: No formal practice

Weight Lifting Mon & Wed after practice (Returners Only)

Making the TOXC Team (New Criteria for Returners):

Required to complete one time-trial faster or within 10 seconds of what ran last year

OR

Qualify for Big Bear by achieving time standard

**Coach discretion

All freshman and first-year runners are welcome to join our team with no criteria

Our annual trip to Big Bear for those who qualify will be from Sunday July 29 to Friday August 3.
